This is a very powerful image for me. It honestly came to me one night when I was binge watching HIMYM. This song came on at a big breaking point in Teds life. It's a song I've heard before but it really stuck me that night. I've been going though so much emotional stuff lately. And drawing this and making it was profoundly therapeutic to me. To visually see what I've been emotionally doing to myself. What so many people do to themselves. We drag around this baggage, all these heavy emotional leeches. Just imagine if those straps broke, or we threw them away. How free we could be. How free I could be. No matter what it is, self-harm, a broken heart, body image issues when we look in the mirror, being branded as a Failure or branding ourselves as failures. Shame, regrets, sadness. We can't carry it around forever.

I hate lineart. I can't do it and I have no idea how anyone does. It's magic to me how someone gets lineart so perfect! Haven't done much fully digital paintings, so that was fun to negotiate as well. Have never drawn people O.o I wanted to get it done in one day, it took two. It took close to 10 hours I'm thinking. I know I'm terrible. I don't get how people do speed paints! Critique is always welcome. As well as suggestions for good CG/Digital painting tutorials >.>
